Greetings! Are you ever too old to color Easter eggs? I think not! Without fail each year we color lots and lots of eggs. This year I also used some Arucana eggs that I put decals on. I printed the vintage clip art on full sheets of clear label paper on my ink jet printer. I cut them out and stuck them on. I think they look fabulous! She used printable temporary tattoo paper, but I just used some clear label paper. The tattoo paper would have eliminated the creases I experienced, but in all, I loved the effect!
Rick loves to make a half and half egg every year, but he has not figured out, until this year, how to do that without having to stand there holding the egg halfway into the dye water. This year he cut a piece of 1.5 inch pvc pipe to hold the egg halfway into the dye water to achieve his desired effect.
The iridescent egg you see was made using Lindy’s Stamp Gang Sprays. I was just playing around with my scrapbook paints and stuff and made this one and two others. I love them, but they are for show only and cannot be eaten.
The still photos at the end of this video were taken by my daughter Molly who is a budding photographer who sees the world in an amazing way. I have taught her to look at things from different angles and points of view to gain a different perspective of every day items. I think she is doing a fabulous job! Her passion is leading her to a desire to become a professional photographer. I think she will do great!
