Greetings! Tonight I made the spiral BBQ ham in the crock pot and instead of making a big meal for the ham I decided to make some rolls for little Texas style BBQ dip sandwiches. along with some baked beans this was a fantastic meal!
These rolls go together really fast and are based on my basic pizza dough recipe. I made a couple substitutions to make a really yeasty and tender dinner roll but these go together in the same amount of time.
I mixed everything up and while I recommend that you allow the dough to rest for 10 to 15 minutes, I had to go pick up one of the kiddos so it sat for an hour. No biggie! This dough was soft and supple and divided into 20 rolls that I placed in a baking pan and then baked in a 350 degree oven. I did not rise the dough a second time! No need! The rolls baked for 20 minutes until golden brown and gorgeous!
These rolls were soft, moist, tender and yeasty! Perfect for little ham sandwiches dipped in BBQ sauce.
I hope you will give these quick and easy rolls a try and I hope you love them!
Happy Eating!
