Greetings! Here is one of our new favorites! Rick and I have been working on this one for a while and now it’s finally time to share it with you. Sweet and spicy cola riblets baked with a flavorful rub and then slow cooked in a sweet and spicy sauce with our favorite, all natural, cane sugar cola as a base.
We have used pork riblets in this recipe. A 10 pound box to be exact. We got ours at the commissarry, however we have seen them in our other grocery stores. They are a cast off or “cut away” piece of meat that is left after trimming lracks of baby back ribs. They have a lot of good, tender meat and they are super cheap! We purchased our 10 pound box of frozen (which is how you will most likely find them) riblets for $7.90! When you do the math, you know that these riblets cost .79 cents a pound! That cheap eating and a delicious meal or two or three or enough for your family and friends to come chow down with you!
These riblets are fall off the bone delicious. They melt in your mouth. Put a bunch of these out for your party or on game day, or for anything! Picnics, parties, potlucks, or just a lazy Sunday afternoon, these ribs are perfect for any occasion. Don’t forget Super Bowl Sunday either! These are sure to disappear.
If you have leftovers like we did, let them cool completely and pick all the bones out using both of your hands then freeze in a zip top bag and you have banked a pulled pork dinner for another night. Just serve up with some fresh buns and coleslaw and you have dinner in the bag, literally!
Give these a try the next time you want to have an amazing rib dinner. I hope you try these and I hope you love them!
Happy Eating!
