Greetings! Grilled pineapple is the perfect accompaniment to the grilled pork chops that we made! These would be just as delicious next to grilled chicken fish or beef or you could just have them on top of some fresh pound cake with some fresh whipped cream or ice cream and a sprinkling of flaked coconut for a fresh grilled dessert. In fact, throw the pound cake on the grill too and toast it!
When these were prepared, we placed them on the grill for one minute on the first side, turned them over and brushed them with pure maple syrup and allowed them to cook for another minute. We removed them from the grill to a plate and brushed them again with the syrup. This was simply to ensure that they had the maple flavor on both sides.
These were super delicious and we just filled the grill up with the slices and the rest we put in the fridge to eat fresh the next day.
This is a wonderful way to use up the heat from that grill besides roasting marshmallows! This could also be a good base for a grilled pineapple salsa mixed with some tomato, onion, jalapeno and cilantro.
I hope you give this a try, I know you’re going to love it!
