Our friend Crystal actually goes to culinary school and she specializes in cupcakes so she showed us her super easy fool-proof recipe that’s perfect to make with your girlfriends or for that special someone on Valentine’s Day! ——Chocolate Cupcakes——
1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
2/3 cups of unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/3 cups of sugar
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
2 eggs
1/3 cup of vegetable oil
2/3 cup of milk
2/3 cup of hot water
Bake for 15 minutes at 350˚ F or until you can insert
a toothpick in the middle and it comes out clean
——Buttercream Frosting——
2 sticks of unsalted butter (at room temperature)
2 cups of powdered sugar (also known as confectioners sugar)
1 tablespoon of pure vanilla extract
——Caramel Sauce——
1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of milk or heavy cream
1/3 cup of chilled unsalted butter
4 tablespoons of water
1/4 teaspoon of salt (optional)
