The good folks at JD’s Salsa recently contacted me and asked me if I would like to try out their brand new Bloody Mary Mix, which they have added to their product line. How could I resist? We love bloody Mary’s and we know from experience that we love the products from JD’s. Most notably their dry salsa mix in a big canister that is wonderful to have on your shelf so you can have fresh, delicious, perfectly seasoned salsa anytime you like with just the addition of fresh or canned chopped tomatoes! We also love what they call their “Table Shake” which you can use to season up anything on your plate!
So they sent me this wonderful box of goodies and I could not wait to try out the Bloody Mary mix! This packet will make 150 servings! WOW! that’s a lot of cocktails! I got to thinking though, this is good for more than just throwing back a couple of cool one’s on a hot day. Mix this up with your tomato or veggie juice and use it as a great marinade for chicken or beef. Toss that on the grill and you have amazing, flavorful grilled meat that has all the seasoning right there!
I also think this would make a wonderful base for a quick and easy Gazpacho! Add this seasoning to a couple cups of tomato juice and toss in chopped fresh tomatoes, bell peppers, jalapenos, cucumbers onions and garlic then serve this delicious cold soup with chunks of crusty French bread and your dinner is on the table. Salad and soup all in one! Super yummy if you ask me and I cannot, for one, wait to give that a try!
