Brown Sugar Ham Recipe!! Noreen’s Kitchen

Greetings, or should I say Happy Easter! The piece’ de’ resistance, the centerpiece, the one thing everyone anticipates at Easter, as much as the Turkey at Thanksgiving……….The Ham! Now, in my opinion, you can’t have Easter without a big beautiful succulent ham, covered in sweet pineapple, studded with spicy cloves and beautified with candied cherries. Pineapples and cherries are like jewelry for my ham. Cover the lot with a generous portion of brown sugar, put it in the oven, all covered up and cozy for a warm sauna nap and what do you get? Pure Easter Heaven! So simple, so delicious and so budget friendly! Remember, ham is always on sale this time of year so it’s good to get an extra to throw in the freezer for when you want the classic taste of Easter in the middle of the summer or for back to school. You’ll get lots of meat for dinner and leftovers of sandwiches and casseroles but the best, best part is the ham bone that you will get to freeze and use to season beans or bean soup or collar greens or pea soup, well you get the picture.
