Simple cupcake design that uses a fresh strawberry and a chocolate arrow. The frosting is flavoured and coloured using unsweetened Kool-Aid drink mix.

Kool-Aid Frosting:
1 cup butter softened
5-6 cups of powdered sugar (If you use less, the flavour will be more buttery, some people don’t like that in some butter creams)
1/4 (or less) of milk
1 envelope of Kool-Aid drink mix (I used Cherry)
1/4 tsp salt (if using unsalted butter)
Beat butter until fluffy and add in powdered sugar and beat until combined (will look a little dry) while beating add in a milk a little bit at a time until the frosting gets to texture you like. Add the kool-aid drink mix and beat until very light and fluffy.
****NOTES****
This frosting has a pretty intense cherry flavour and I found it to be a little bit gritty because of the kool-aid powder (not “Oh-My-God this is gritty!” but noticeably so compared to regular buttercream). I suggest that you follow the original website instructions and dissolve the kool-aid into the milk before adding it.
