Frikadeller – Traditional Danish Meatballs

RECIPE FOR DANISH MEAT BALLS

Ingredients for a big portion (8-10 persons):
2 lbs. minced pork
2 tsp. salt
1 big tsp. pepper
3 large onions (shredded)
4 cloves of garlic (minced)
4 eggs
1.6 cups / 4 dl milk
10 tbsp. flour
1 small tsp. nutmeg

Butter for frying

Serve the Danish way with cooked potatoes and gravy or eat the meat balls on rye bread with pickled beet roots and mustard – It’s delicious!
