These super easy, super delicious CUPCAKES look just like ice cream SUNDAES! This dessert is perfect for any occasion and you can involve the whole family in the caking! The swirled buttercream icing looks just like soft serve ice cream, and the three-ingredient chocolate sauce, sprinkles and cherry makes for the perfect sundae topper. Tools/Supplies:

Electric or stand mixer
Whisk
Measuring cups & spoons
Spatula
Pot
Stainless steel bowl
Rubber spatula
Chef’s knife
Cutting board
14” Piping bag
#806 piping tip
Cupcake cups
Mini spoons (optional)

Ingredients for cupcakes:

¾ cup flour
¾ cup sugar
¼ cup cocoa powder
¾ teaspoon baking soda
¾ teaspoon baking powder
¾ teaspoon cornstarch
½ teaspoon salt
1 egg, room temperature, lightly beaten
⅓ cup buttermilk
3 ½ tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
¼ cup brewed coffee

Three-ingredient chocolate sauce:

2½ oz semi sweet chocolate
3 tablespoons butter
2 oz whipping cream

For decoration:
Sprinkles
Sour cherry candy balls or fresh cherries
