In this week’s Saturday Strategy, we will be working with Specialty Produce, an organization that brings the best foods from all the best farmers in San Diego. Specifically, we’re going to talk about Food Preparation.

So how do we prepare food? It’s a basic question that goes for all of us precisely because of our close affinity with food. So there are 2 Tools on how to prepare for food. In here, we’re referring to food may refer to food alternatives such as juices.

Tool 1 Buy in Bulk

There are many benefits in buying in bulk. Secure clean plastic bags and use it for your grocery. Recycling them would be great and you wouldn’t have to waste resources for things you can still utilize.

Plus, you can also get discounts if you buy in bulk. There are many department stores out there who give these payment cuts for getting a large purchase. So do grocery for a week. It’s easier to do it weekly because you can gauge how much would you need for the entire week.

Tool 2 Outside Shoppers’ Guide

It’s a tool that comes with Fitlife membership and soon it’s going to come with an app or e-book that can be accessible through mobile phones or kindles as well. By the word itself, it aims to guide you in coming up with your healthy shopping list for an entire juicing and food week.

The question is: What are the things that we like to buy in bulk in juicing?

18 cucumbers – good enough for 3-4 days

6 Apples – Divide it into 3/4 or half

18 Lemons – use half of it for recipes

9 Beets – good for detox of liver and kidneys

So buy in bulk and put it into clean plastic bags. You can also put it into tupperware bins as well.

If you put these things orderly, everything will be set easily. And therefore, it gives you greater opportunity to spare time in your kitchen because everything is ready.
