Making salsa from scratch is amazing. Anything store bought doesn’t come close. This is healthy because it’s all raw vegetables and fruits.
The cantaloupe gives it a bit of sweet flavor with the tomato providing a little acid. The avocado adds that rich creamy taste and the jalapeño gives it a little heat.
Be sure and add the avocado last so it doesn’t break up and get mushy. Just fold it in gently.
I like mincing the onion and garlic super fine so that it spreads out nicely in the salsa and you don’t end up with a few big chunks.
