My Mexican Tostada

 

 

If you want to add beef or chicken to these tostadas, you can but as they are, they are vegetarian and gluten free.

Here are some key points for making my bean tostadas:
1. Make sure to put your crispy corn tortilla with beans and cheese into a very hot oven, say 475 degrees F. Leave it in the oven until it is very hot and bubbly, 4 to 5 minutes.
2. Add plenty of my Italian dressing to the lettuce part of the tostada.
3. Use my homemade refried beans.
4. Eat it while it’s hot!
5. “It’s Gotta Be Hot To Be Good!”

This is a complete meal and one of my very favorite Mexican food recipes. Some people call this a tostada compuesta. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
