In the mornings I am always hyper-focused and incredibly in-tune with my thoughts and emotions. That’s what this Saturday Strategy is all about fitlifer. I want to share with you my Secret Orange Juice Recipe!

Oranges
Oranges are rich in citrus limonoids, proven to help fight a number of varieties of cancer including that of the skin, lung, breast, stomach and colon. Although oranges are acidic before you digest them, they contain many alkaline minerals that help to balance out the body after they are digested. In this respect, they are similar to lemons which are one of the most alkaline foods available.
Cucumber
Cucumbers are amazing vegetables for juicing. The skin of cucumbers are composed of many important minerals like silica. Silica is important for our connective tissue. It is also found in intracellular cement, muscles, tendons, ligaments, bone and cartilage. Even when juiced cucumber has a great source of silica. Cucumber juice also helps with skin complexion. When juicing cucumbers choose ones that are medium to dark green and firm.
Jalapeño
Jalapeño can provide pain relief for migraine and sinus headaches. Capsaicin, the chemical that makes chili peppers hot, is known to inhibit a key neuropeptide, Substance P, that is the key brain pain transmitter. It also contains antibacterial properties that help fight chronic sinus infections. Eating jalapeño are naturally high in vitamins A and C, and also bioflavinoids. They help strengthen our blood vessels, which makes them more elastic and better able to adjust to blood pressure fluctuations.
Tumeric
Turmeric has potential anti-cancer properties. The main ingredient in turmeric is curcumin that block the growth of cancer by inhibiting cell signaling between cancer cells (UCLA). Antioxidants are important because they fight and neutralize cancer causing free radicals. Turmeric also improves skin complexion, acne and blemishes.
MTC Oil
Coconut oil has resistance to oxidation, long shelf life, and cooking properties.They have antimicrobial effects, help with digestion and aid in nutrient delivery. MTC Oil helps flush out the toxins. Plus it helps the headache that you take with the one day juice cleanse.
Basil
Basil is great for anyone with arthritis or other inflammatory health problems. It’s a great source of beta-carotene, which turns into vitamin A, as well as magnesium, iron, and calcium. Basil is rich in antioxidants, which help boost immunity.
Coconut Water
Coconut water is 94% water and fairly low in calories. It seems to be a good source of B vitamins and potassium. Coconut water contains electrolytes, various plant hormones, enzymes, and amino acids. Some substances in coconut water could theoretically have antioxidant benefits in the body.
